Response to Wolf Editorial. I’m David Sparks and I’ll give you that story in a minute. A couple of weeks ago I read an editorial opinion from Senator Steve Bair of Blackfoot concerning a 12 year old boy who went hunting with his Dad, harvested a wolf legally and got his name published on the Internet by Western Watershed Alliance member and wolf advocate, Rick Hobson of Boise. I was outraged and so were a few of you. Let me read you an e-mail I got.

 "The act of publishing the names cost the State of Idaho millions of dollars. New laws and procedures had to be passed. Income from future sales of tags will be reduced. Idaho's reputation was attacked. The Western Watersheds Project employee Rick Hobson claims the publication was a success. This is the same group headed by Jon Marvel that has filed suit to get the wolves back on the endangered species act. Until the Idaho Attorney General steps up to the plate, the eco-environmental groups and their attorneys will continue to harass Idaho’s hunters. I believe receiving the names under the Freedom Of Information act is legal. I believe a jury of 12 will find that publishing the names was INTENDED as an act of intimidation and harassment, which is illegal. A class action suit by the 122 victims named on the list would go a long way to preserving our hunting rights."
